Woohoo! In the couple of minutes I have each day, I want a place to share my musings as a full time mom and part time pharmacist.
Today my kiddo turned 2 months old and immunizations were in order for this morning. He took it like a champ (mama did not!) but was a bit fussy in the afternoon. It wasn't anything that a midday bath and a dose of Tylenol couldn't fix though. My quick soapbox: as a pharmacist who has worked at a pediatric hospital, I think that immunizations are so important! I think relying on herd immunity (that everyone around you is immunized so you don't need to be) is a stupid idea and thats how we get outbreaks of measles in a time that they should be eradicated. End soap box.
Since my husband is working late until Tax Day(capitalized because it is a holiday to me!), we are just doing easy dinners that I can prep several hours earlier during nap time. Tonight is chicken tacos and rice. The chicken tacos are just taco seasoning, 2 chicken breasts, frozen corn, black beans, a jalapeƱo, and a can of Rotel (how many uses can a Texan find for this??) in the crockpot for 8 hours. Bam. Dinner.
